A Look Inside Our Denver Marketing Company

our Denver marketing team

Do you wonder what it's like to work in a fast-paced modern work environment?  To help you understand what we go through every day Revenue River Marketing I'm going to give you a behind-the-scenes look at how our Denver marketing company operates.  To really understand the amount of action that takes place in our small office I'm going to lay out our day, from start to finish.

7:00am to 8:00am

We start early at Revenue River.  We have a lot of clients on the East Coast and let's face it, Denver traffic is a lot better at 6:30am than it is at 7:30am....  We have a flexible schedule that helps everyone work through family obligations so everyone doesn't start at 7.  We run through 4 pots of coffee by 8am without fail.  Everyone is getting settled, reviewing their calendars and deliverables, and prepping for their day.

8:00am - 11:00am

This is always a critical block of time for our company as we're stacked with internal strategy meetings and client calls.  We work in team formats with each team managing the production for their own group of clients.  That makes for a lot of shuffling between our two conference rooms, the bar in our center room, and individual offices as each team moves from one meeting to the next.  Lots of scrambling from one room to the next, passing each other in the halls on the way to the kitchen or the bathroom.

Lunch time

Lunch is a really a moving target.  When meetings run long or conflict we'll break into small groups and head out or stay in.  We use our monthly food budget to keep the fridge and freezer stocked with quick meals for days there's no real time for lunch at all.  Once or twice a week we'll go as a team to Old Chicago or another spot near our office.  That turns into beers, wings, pizza, and discussions about sports, politics, and even work (as much as we try to avoid it).

Denver marketing team event

1:00pm to 4:00pm

Here's another power block of production.  Meetings, client calls, hustle and bustle.  Afternoons are usually a little better for strategy development.  You can find strategists and coordinators teamed up in front of any of our 7 whiteboards plotting promotional strategy for client campaigns.

5:00pm to 6:00pm

With some of us already gone for the day the office quiets down a bit.  There's always a chance that we have a call with a West Coast client or a meeting of some sort but this is generally an hour to wrap up open ends, send final communication, and get our asses home for the day.

Evenings

We work a lot at night too, deadlines drive work outside the work day.  While this isn't scheduled it's pretty common to find a couple of us Slacking between ourselves, writing blog articles like this, or finalizing a client deliverable for the next day.  Every so often we can be find at a Rockies game, a happy hour meet-up with other Denver marketing companies, or presenting at the Denver Hug.   Our days really aren't complete until we hit the sheets, and they're anything but normal.  It might be hard for you to envision this much work being fun, but it certainly is.  I think our Marketing Director Marc Herschberger said it best,
